Crazy! Golf Carts and Mortgages!? What do they have in common.
Most people cannot imagine life in the Atlanta suburb of Peachtree City. I moved here almost 10 years ago and enjoy a somewhat relaxing life amidst the golf carts and families. Fortunately the mortgage business is great, although I don’t play as much golf as you would imagine. Let’s see….
90+ miles of golf cart paths around a small town of 35,000. Virtually every family has a cart. Kids as young as 12 can drive their carts with an adult in the front seat, and at 15…they are allowed to drive alone. Home prices range from 100k to 2mm. The schools are phenomenal, although the restaurant choices are limited. On most nights, people actually take “golf cart rides” with their families and dogs, either around one of the lakes or golf courses. While there is not an active nightlife, we do have access to Atlanta 25-30 minutes away!
So…most days I take my golf cart to work! Yes….Golf Carts and Mortgages. It could be a lot worse! I’ve helped close many a mortgage from the seat of the golf cart.
